Founding advisors

We are building a small network of apparel operators.

Not a directory. A deliberately small group of people who have actually run apparel operations, brought in where their depth is the thing a client needs.

Why this exists

No single advisor covers all five.

We advise on people, operational processes, systems, capital and vendors. Nobody is genuinely expert across all of that, and the ones who claim to be are usually expert in none of it.

So the model is depth rather than breadth. A brand replatforming its ERP needs someone who has lived through three implementations. A brand drowning in deductions needs someone who has run a compliance desk. Those are different people.

We are assembling that group now, one specialist at a time, and we would rather take twelve months to get it right than fill it in a quarter.

Who we are looking for

Operators, not career consultants.

You have run it, not just advised on it

Ten years or more inside apparel or adjacent consumer goods, with real operational responsibility. Time in a brand, a manufacturer, a 3PL or a systems implementer all count. General management consulting on its own does not.

Depth in one area beats breadth across five

We are looking for the person who knows retailer compliance cold, or has taken eight brands through ERP selection, or has restructured a wholesale operation twice. One deep area is more useful to us than five shallow ones.

You are willing to be named

Advisors appear publicly with their name, background and specialism. Credibility is the point. Anonymous experts are worth nothing to a client deciding whether to trust us.

You will tell a client no

We do not put brands on systems that do not fit, and we say so when the honest answer is that they are fine as they are. If that is a difficult position for you commercially, this will not work.

No exclusivity required

Most good people in this industry have their own practice, clients and relationships. We are not asking you to give those up. We are asking that engagements you take through us are done to a shared standard.

What advisors get

Work, credit, and a platform for what you know.

Qualified engagements

Brands arrive having read a guide and understood the problem, rather than cold. We route work to the advisor whose depth matches the problem.

Your name on the work

Advisors are named publicly and attributed on anything they write. This is not white-label subcontracting.

A publishing platform

Guides and comparisons published under your byline, on a site built to be found by search and cited by AI assistants.

People to think with

Independent operators work alone. Having four or five others to pressure-test a recommendation against is worth more than most people expect.

How it works

Four steps, and no obligation at any of them.
